The television sitcom Who's The Boss? is a lasting representation of pop culture of the 1980's. This show is still enjoyed in reruns. See what happened to the cast.

Who's The Boss? was an original comedy that debuted on ABC in 1984. It starred Tony Danza, Judith Light, Alyssa Milano, and Danny Pintauro. It was originally pitched to NBC, but the station passed. It was working on The Cosby Show, a show that debuted the same year. The show centered on Tony, Angela, Tony's daughter Samantha, and Angela's son Jonathan.

The Plot

Angela lived with her son in a nice house in suburban Connecticut. As a divorced, busy advertising exec and working mom, Angela was searching for a live-in housekeeper. Her neighbor and nosy mom Mona found Tony. Tony was looking for a job, as the single dad raising his daughter on his own since the passing of his wife. The two met, and it started a long relationship that eventually turned into romantic love. Sparks flew from the beginning, but the writers kept viewers in suspense through the seasons, from 1984 to 1992.

It's not long from being two decades since the show ended, and a lot has changed for the cast since the show's sitcom glory days.

Tony Danza

Tony Danza, known to devoted Who's The Boss? fans as forever Tony Micelli, continued to work in films through the show's duration. He has appeared in other films and television shows since the sitcom went off the air, including his own The Tony Danza Show that debuted in 2004. On the show, there was a Who's The Boss? cast reunion. All the cast members were there. In his most recent project, Tony contributed the voice of Rocky in the film Firedog.

Judith Light

Judith Light has enjoyed continued popularity. Making her debut on the soap opera One Life to Live, Judith starred on Who's The Boss early in her career. She would go on to success in television movies and making guest appearances on other shows. She recently did memorable guest starring roles on Ugly Betty and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.

Alyssa Milano

Alyssa Milano became a teen star on the show. Starting on the television show while still a child, she grew up in front of the camera. Being smart about her fame, she recorded songs (that were put on an album released only in Japan) and contributed the soundtrack (and starred in) her own workout video called Teen Steam, in which she and two teenage friends work out while joking about Michael Jackson, babysitting and doing impromptu workout raps.

It was rumored (and pretty much confirmed) that the show would have gone on for more seasons were it not for her decision to leave the show at the end of her contract. As an older teenager, she wanted to try her luck outside of the show. Almost a decade later, she starred in the very successful WB hit entitled Charmed. She has went on to star in other films and has guest starred in television shows. Her latest project was contributing the voice for Dr. Selwyn in The Ghostbusters video game. A fact about her that many don't know is that she was used as a model for the character of Ariel in The Little Mermaid.

Danny Pintauro

Danny Pintauro also grew up on Who's The Boss. He was only seven when the show began, and he was in his mid-teens when it ended. While he has kept more out of the limelight than his co-stars, he did publicly come out of the closet, with the full support of his Who's The Boss? family. Both Judith Light and Tony Danza publicly and personally supported him. He acts on stage, and his most recent film project was in The Still Life, in which he played Stefan.

Katherine Helmond

It would be hard to mention Who's The Boss? without mentioning Katherine Helmond. She played the wild, sassy and funny Mona, mother to Angela and grandmother to Jonathan. She was a surrogate grandmother to Samantha as well, helping her in slumber party hijinks and in growing into a woman. Always outrageous with her jokes and obvious about her sensuality, Mona was a character that's hard to forget.

The actress who played the unforgettable Mona is Katherine Helmond. Katherine has enjoyed a very long career in show business, a feat that's nearly impossible itself. She started her career in 1955 in Wine of Morning, and she was most recently in A Grandpa for Christmas.
