As these actors become more and more well known, where are they headed? What are they working on? Will we be seeing them on the big screen?

As Entourage begins its new season on HBO, there are things to be considered. Five seasons on a show is an accomplishment – at this point, the fan base is established, stories and characters are well settled in, and the show has reached familiar ground for the viewing public. Jeremy Piven has received two Emmys and a Golden Globe for his performance as Ari Gold, and there have been many other nominations for the show as best comedy.

Adrien Grenier (Vincent Chase)

Appropriately, Grenier plays the celebrity around which the entourage gathers. He plays Vincent Chase, who is a familiar face in Hollywood if not a well-established one. The plot of the show revolves around his work, the politics involved, and the connections he meets.

Around the same time as Entourage began, Grenier was also getting noticed in Devil Wears Prada, a highly successful comedy with Meryl Streep, and one of Anne Hathaway’s early roles away from the Disney scene. His upcoming project is called Adventures of Power, and it is directed by none other than the “real-life” Ari Gold. Grenier plays the eccentric drummer Dallas Houston, who certainly looks like a far cry from Vincent Chase.

Kevin Connolly (Eric Murphy)

One of the most popular faces from Entourage next to Grenier, Kevin Connolly plays Eric or “E,” a sweet, very laid-back sidekick to the star. Eric is not only the best friend of Vincent Chase, but also his manager and the only one looking out for Vince rather than a paycheck.

While busy with Entourage he has now completed filming He’s Just Not That Into You, a romantic comedy with a quite a list of stars. Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, and Scarlett Johanssen are some of the main female cast, with Ben Affleck and Justin Long listed with Connolly as the male leads. He’s Just Not That Into You is scheduled to be released in February of 2009.

Jeremy Piven (Ari Gold)

While not part of the core entourage, Piven can be seen in every episode as Ari Gold, Vince’s agent and Hollywood power source. His character is explosive and high-energy, fiercely devoted to Vince, but also his wife and children. Piven has received quite a bit of attention for the awards he’s won (two Emmys and one Golden Globe) and has a few projects lined up for the big screen. The next one to be released is RocknRolla, a crime thriller with Gerard Butler that is set for release at the end of October 2008.

Kevin Dillon (Johnny “Drama” Chase)

Playing Vince’s lesser known and little-respected brother certainly has its challenges, and Dillon manages them well. One of the funniest characters on the show, he has been nominated for several awards as supporting actor, twice for an Emmy and once for a Golden Globe. In January of 2009 he will be seen in a comedy called Hotel for Dogs, with Lisa Kudrow and Don Cheadle.
